Default Norway's Namsen in June - Exceptional opportunity to hook the fish of a lifetime

The Fiskum Falls (Fiskumfoss) and Fossland beats on the upper part of Namsen River are available for interested parties or individuals to fish from the 6 till 13 June 2010 (7 nights stay and 6 days fishing). Two of the most prolific salmon fishing stretches in Norway with 38 and 41 salmon the same weeks in 2008 and 2009 respectively with eight rods fishing. Average weight per salmon was 8.3 kilos (18 lb) and largest salmon 12.8 kilos (28 lb). Price is NOK 445,000 for the week for a group or NOK 49,500 on an individual basis.

A total of 9 kilometres double bank provides a variation of exciting and challenging fishing for ten rods and the anglers will be serviced by six very experienced guides including three boatmen, allowing fishing from three boats that will enhance the chance of catching one of the BIG ones. An additional beat, two kilometres long by the Namsen/Sanddøla junction can be added to the package, making it practically unrivalled in Norway.

The beat is also being offered to Fish&Fly members for the following four weeks fishing, ending on 11 July. We are inviting members the opportunity to book a week before being promoted elsewhere. This offer ends by 31 March when the allocated four weeks will be offered globally and particularly to the Scandinavian corporate market.

Jon Moe, the charismatic owner of Upper Namsen Fishing says – “We have secured the fantastic Fiskum Falls beat for a 5 years period as from the start of the 2007 season with an option of 5 more years. 1,295 salmon were caught during the 2005 season based on 10 rods fishing, but we have reduced the number of rods to maximum four. This is to allow for optimal exclusive fishing on such a wide river, and with such size and numbers of fish. The Fiskum Falls is the natural place to stop for all salmon running the mighty Namsen River, before they start the complicated passage of the longest salmon ladder in Europe”.

Guests will stay at the “Fossland Lodge” and/or at “Hotel Vertshuset Grong”, two true salmon fishing accommodations in the best of Norwegian tradition. Lodge and hotel are up-to-date with regards to comfort; full board accommodation, single room incl. bath. Great food and staff are totally committed to its fishing customers during the Norwegian 3 month’s season.
