After a spate when water is fining down and clearing, fish for the salmon exclusively during daylight hours, using sizes you feel confident in, ask around for advice in colour / size from other anglers, even look at what they are using!! Late evening and darkness, fish for sea trout and brown trout, again adapting flies to suit. at this time of year, even in periods of low water and sunny days, fresh sea trout can mysteriously appear, and be caught late evening into the darkness. regards bert
