hi everyone i spent a couple of days fishing the East Lyn this week 25th and 26th of july the river is very very low, the river needs rain desperately..... a weeks worth ! its not fishing well . didn;t see many fish about.
anyway i used my 25 years experience on this river and i did catch 2 fish ( both returned) one 8lb salmon from ash pool, a bit coloured the second fish 5lb quite fresh i'd say been in the river no more than a week,well i caught this fish just above murtleberry cottage on a well known spot! hmmm i can i explain this where there is a narrow concrete path the river is narrow here and there is a bend in the river you look down from the path and there is white water and a rock sticking out fom the bank always fish in this spot ( i lost a hugh fish 20lb plus about 8 years ago but that another story) saw a couple of fish in upperstag and horners pool but like i said river very low PLEASE GOD let this river have some heavy rain
