River Exe Report 16/07/10 - At Last - Some Water!

I cannot say how relieved I was to log into the River Exe webcam at Exebridge (Exebridge Webcam - River Exe) from home this morning and find that finally the water is flowing through all three arches of the bridge!

I will get an even closer look in just a moment as I am guiding a client. In fact we fished yesterday and the Trout/Grayling fishing was excellent with some good hatches of Sedge and a bit of spinner. There is some colour today but I often find after a mini spate like this that the fish can be up, looking and ready to pick off just about any large dry fly going.

But what we really want is some Salmon! Will they come? Depends on the weather of course because right now the forecast looks like the heavy rain has passed through for the moment.
