Fish&Fly takes a close look at the 21st century Sea Trout rod catches from rivers in Wales. The signs are generally negative with, on some rivers, an alarming downward trend. However the trend from 1990 shows that Sea Trout catches steadily climbed up to the good years around 1999-2002 and are steadily falling from this high. Some rivers are bucking the downward trend but their low catches mean this is not particularly significant. The rivers are ranked on the basis of their average catch this millennium. We examine the 21st century salmon rod catches from the top 63 salmon rivers of Norway and highlight those improving rivers (green) and those in decline in recent years (pink). Note the season is short at only three months for most rivers (June, July, August). The rivers are ranked in order of their 9 year average. Sort the columns to see how catches have changed.
