Day or week permits with good standard lodging in single or twin/double rooms at the Guesthouse at the village centre. Full board arrangement. Season from 15 June till 31 August (salmon), 15 September (sea trout)..

The Fishing
The Beiar River is well known for large salmon and it is not unusual to see a number of 12 -15kg (26 - 30lbs) catches during the season, and even 18 kilos (40lb) appears now and then. The river also boasts a high number of good sized sea trout during the latter end of July and August. It is therefore considered to be among the 8-10 best salmon and sea trout rivers in the country.

Beiarn Guesthouse has a good number of beats available allowing exclusive fishing linked to a good rota system to allow guests as much variation as possible. It is one of the few rivers in Norway that encourage catch and release but allows an angler to bring home 2 salmon during a week fishing. The prime time is considered to be 20 June - 31 August with the best salmon fishing normally during July, and August rated best for sea trout.

The river was closed for 13 years due to the parasite Gyrodactylus salaris, however, reopened in 2001 and is gradually recovering to its former glory.

The Accommodation
Beiarn Guesthouse offers a combination of single and twin/double bed rooms of good standard and with sufficient showers/toilets facilities.

The owners of Beiarn Guesthouse pride themselves of providing clean and comfortable accommodation and serving a varied, healthy and wholesome diet during the week's stay. The whole area is a great location to combine a relaxing fishing experience with exploring the wonders of the Arctic.
