Opening of the 2023 River Tay Salmon Season
The 2023 River Tay salmon fishing season will open on Monday 16 January.
Beats up and down the river will be celebrating the new season in their own ways.
There will be a larger public ceremony at Meikleour, to which all are invited. Please see the “poster” on this page for more details.
However, please note that there has been a lot of demand for fishing this year and it may be fully subscribed already. Please enquire using the details provided.
Car parking is also limited at the river side, so if you are coming, please consider car sharing. Extra parking will be available at Meikleour Hotel.
