Excellent winter Steelhead stream in December/January. Only thing you have to watch is the heavy duty winter storms that can come in off the Pacific. With a dumper the river flow can go from 750 cfs to 10,000 cfs in a couple of days.
The good news is the actual drainage area for the river is rather small (a bit over 500 square miles) so with a couple of days of clear/cold weather you're back in business..
