International team of anglers was fishing this week at Rynda!
We welcomed our old and new friends from 6 different countries.

On Sunday Chuck rose the bar quite high by landing beautiful sea liced 24 lbs at Croy Pool. The rest of the week Chuck did well and landed 9 fish in total. Good job!

The weather this week was not easy for fishing. Low Rynda is an open place and all the week Northern winds chilled to the marrow. The air temp was hanging around 5C. Only the last day – Friday – we enjoyed the South wind with 15C.

Due to cold weather conditions, water temp was slowly creeping from 5C to 7C. The water level was good and we were able to fish all the pools below First Fall.

We congratulate Dmitry with his first Rynda Salmon! Well done!

Our old friends Ulrich and Thomas not only know how to catch salmon, but also know how to organize a good party and have fun!

Our dear friend Frank was celebrating his 65 birthday – this became a good tradition! Happy Birthday dear Frank!

Several years ago, Vladimir established the rule – the angler who is fishing with ASR for 10 and more years is awarded with a very special silver ‘ASR Veteran’ ring. This ring is well known and desirable among salmon fishermen.
We celebrated Vladimir’s 10’ year of fishing Kharlovka and Rynda. We solemnly presented a Veteran ring to Vladimir here at Rynda camp! Congratulations!

Our new friend Ruairi every day came back from the river with a fish caught. We say in Russia ‘Consistency is a sign of masterliness’. Nice to meet you Ruairi!

Croy, Rock Island and 10 isl pools were keeping most of the fish. Ivan who is coming to Rynda for many spring weeks is an expert of low part of the river.

Thank you for the wonderful week!

See you all next time!
Rynda team.
