All good things must come to an end, and what a wonderful week it has turned out to be. The group consisted of some old familiar faces as well as some new friends eager to experience this fishery for the first time.
The excitement levels were high and it didn’t take too long before the new guests was shown first hand, and the veterans reminded once again why this is probably one of the finest Salmon fisheries on the Planet.
This week at Rynda we really started seeing more and more fish moving up into the system with fish throughout the week getting caught on the higher beats and during the last couple of days as high up as Round Pool.
Our little neighboring river Zolotaya once again delivered some of the top fish for the week with a couple of 20 pounders being caught, what makes this so special is the fact that this river is less than half the size of the river here at Rynda. The weather this week was rather pleasant despite one or two days of wind and rain which made things a little trickier out on the water.
Throughout the week the water level was been going down an inch or two a day, but with the couple of rainstorms that we had the level is now fairly constant at 0.95 with the temperature fluctuating between 8-10 degrees.
A good couple of fish were caught this week using hitched sunrays shadows, which is probably one of the most exciting ways to fish for fresh Atlantics.
The Willy Gun and Sunray’s also once again proved it’s affectivity by landing the biggest portion of the fish this week.
Top rod goes to Peter who landed the biggest fish of the week a beautiful sea liced Salmon of 21lb. Also a huge congratulation goes out to Andrew who landed his personal best fish of 20lb on the last day, well done.
It is always great when a guest tells you that this has been one of the most amazing experiences that he has ever had, and one that he will never forget.
All in all this has been a great week for us here at Rynda with all the guests landing quality fish, not even to mention the ones that got away. Apart from the fishing, it is the camp, the food, and just the experience as a whole that makes this a bucket list destination.
