This week we have greeted a Russian-English flyfishing team. We know many of our guests for ages; we met some of them for the first time.

By fishing standards, the weather was good. Cloudy and cold, sometimes very cold. The morning air temperature never raised more than 8C. The water temperature stalled at about 10C. During the week, the water level has slightly dropped (minus 3 cm).

We are having fresh summer salmon 10-16 pounds and lots of grilse coming to Rynda and Zolotaya. Most of fresh salmon are concentrated below the Norway Pool. The lower beats results were very good. Lots landed, even more lost (Hello, Max and Yury!)

The fishing at the upper beats was more complicated, although sea liced fish were also caught in these upper beats. In general, the week results were stable – more than 20 salmon a day.

Zolotaya was amazing, as always. Even with low water, our anglers got a good fishing and unforgettable memories. Lots of those who went fishing to Zolotaya were staying there for night in the tent camp, getting pleasure of fishing, solitude and silence.

We would like to congratulate Timur who has caught his first Atlantic salmon ever and followed it with other good results. Now his personal best is a 17 pounder.

Congratulations to Rashid with the commemorative ring 27+ for his wonderful salmon caught last season!

See you next week!

Nikolay and Nadya
