---Quote (Originally by L.D.O)--- and I want to talk about the river. I actually went fishing on the Rectory this morning:eek: It looked good, still a bit high at 2ft 3", but clarity was perfect at about 4ft vis. Started in gravel catch and was encouraged when 2 fish showed (1 silver, 1 red) but no joy, so went up to Rock and had 9-10lb clean fish from top. No further joy in body or tail so he went down to gravel catch whilst I had a run down bridge, taking coloured 8lb cock fish just in front of far stone. Image: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2449/3743398966_11a744e748.jpg?v=0 He lost one after a few seconds on inside line in gravel catch. We reeled in at 1.30pm as he had to go and pick up his daughter, the river was rising and I had some work to do. So a productive few hours, we fished 6hrs between us had 4 chances and converted 2 of them. Only one other salmon rod out on upper wye passport beats. Miles of productive water in superb condition untouched, has to be a better option than sitting in front of your PC sniping. Upper river rising again now but when it falls it has to be worth a cast. Best of luck to all who dare to fish;) PS further update, just heard rod on Pwll-y-feadda also had a fish ---End Quote--- Well done Simon, good fish....bet that will bring some more questions re your work/ life balance?:D
