The Atlantic Salmon Trust (AST) has partnered with the East Ranga river and RIPP Sporting to offer this bucket list fly fishing experience.
RIPP Sporting Ltd, one of the UK’s foremost agents, represents a select group of the world’s finest fly fishing destinations – including managing Iceland’s famous East Ranga river. Once again, they have generously donated two August rods, with accommodation and guide, for this majestic river, with all the proceeds of the prize draw going to the Atlantic Salmon Trust.
Included* in this four-day trip (20 – 23rd August 2022) is full board accommodation at the East Ranga Lodge, and a single en-suite room for each rod. The Lodge is situated in the south-west corner of Iceland just 80 minutes from the Icelandic capital Reykjavik, with unbroken views of snowy Mt. Hekla and the Eyjarfjallajokull glacier to the east. Flowing past the fishing lodge is the East Ranga river, one of the most productive Atlantic salmon rivers in the world, with a five-year average catch of 4299 salmon, high even by Icelandic standards, and an all-time record of 9070 salmon landed in the 2020 season.
The prize is for two rods fishing six half-day sessions over four days, fully guided.
