Still very dry and not alot happening, a few seatrout showing in the lower river, but the estuary beginning to fill up with fish. Fish can be seen coming up on the flood tide, some entering the river but many dropping back, still there we are. A nice seatrout 8lb 12oz caught on the upper Taw by Thomas Butt on a hares ear nymph, just goes to show that seatrout will run up a wet sack and if that was not good enough he fished at Blakewell last week and landed a 21lb 13oz perfectly finned rainbow, well done Tom. Brown trout fishing has been good during the evenings, with plenty of fish showing, small dries and nymphs having the best results. Tight lines
